Golden Cross Cheese Company is a family owned business run by Kevin, Alison & Matthew Blunt at Greenacres Farm, Holmes Hill, East Sussex.

Neither Kevin nor Alison was born into a farming family and neither planned a farming life. They met at university where Kevin completed a degree in Biochemistry while Alison obtained a degree in Human Biology with a nursing option. Kevin went to help his stepfather in the holidays when he was managing a farm in the north of England and something clicked. As a nurse Alison was able to follow Kevin around the country while he gained experience in stock and dairy farming -always his first love.

Whilst visiting Alison’s parents in Eastbourne they had a look at 6 acres with barns and a mobile home and with the enthusiasm of youth took the plunge. A meeting with a frenchman selling his goat farming and cheese making business was a major turning point. Their son Matthew joined the business full-time in 2014.
